I can not believe it is almost here!!! Our princess will be here before we know it yesterday marked 35 weeks! She can make her appearance any day now! We have the nursery all setup a dresser FULL of clothes (she is a bit spoiled and will be the best dressed baby around) and Mom and Dad anxiously awaiting her arrival. Last weekend you all helped us celebrate with a beautiful baby shower and once again just showed us how much we are loved. We are starting this blog to help keep everyone up to date on what is going on since we do not see everyone as often as we like. We will try to keep it updated with plenty of pictures and letting you all know what is going on in our busy lives. We will get some pictures up soon of the nursery and a few of Courtney's growing belly!
We will share a little story with you all to start things off.
Most of you know Blaine and Courtney were married on October 5, 2013 in a beautiful ceremony on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon. We had talked for several months about wanting to start a family. During the journey of the marriage prep Blaine realized he was being calling to join the Catholic Church, not only for himself but for the family he was going to be starting. So to jump forward a few months Blaine joined the Church this past Easter. So back to October we decided to start trying to get pregnant. We had been told many times don't get discouraged it may take you several months. We departed on our honeymoon and have a wonderful time and came home and a week later found out SURPRISE we are pregnant!!! We were a little nervous but very excited! It has been a difficult pregnancy for Courtney. She had morning sickness (aka all day sickness) for the first 6 months! She lost weight continuously and was on different medications to help her gain an appetite back and gain the weight back. After battling the sickness she faced pain in her hips and back and come to find out she had problems with her pelvis. This resulted in several trips to physical therapy, which helped so much and now she is able to manage the pain and discomfort withe exercises.
Keep your eye on Facebook and this blog for updates we will get some pictures posted and let you know when the little princess makes her grand entrance into the world.
